Job Opportunities and Internships
The Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission includes professionals in a variety of disciplines, but particularly in the fields of education and history. We employ education specialists, program specialists, supervisors, communications staff, and administrative support. Only applications submitted through the Work In Texas website will be accepted and considered.
February 28, 2017: The State of Texas is currently under a hiring freeze, to remain in effect through the end of the fiscal year. Therefore, the THGC is unable to offer paid positions at this time. Please check back on this website as unpaid internships are developed and posted.
The Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission (THGC) offers two internship opportunities for college and graduate students interested in genocide and genocide education. The Holocaust and Genocide Internship is an unpaid program open year-round for students skilled in research, education, and writing for the web. The Diversity Internship is a paid program open during summers for diverse young Texans interested in the issues of genocide, ethics, and education, but currently this internship is on hold due to the aforementioned hiring freeze.
