2016 Student Video Contest a Success!
By Cheyanne Perkins
Congratulations to all the winners of the THGC’s 2016 student video contest! The results were announced on April 7 (the same day as the THGC’s April quarterly meeting, which took place at Interfaith Ministries for Greater Houston).
The theme for this year was “Genocide Report,” which proved to be a more difficult topic than those in years past. Texas students were up to challenge, however, and worked hard to submit some wonderful entries! This year, nearly 200 students participated, and 17 schools were presented with awards.
All who participated, both teachers and students, seemed to find the project rewarding, and enjoyed participating. If you are a Texas student who will be in middle or high school next year, please consider entering the THGC’s 2017 student video contest! The guidelines will be posted this fall, so be sure to check our website for all the details.
Below are two of the winning videos—please watch and enjoy!
