2016 THGC Video Contest Deadline
By THGC Admin
The deadline to submit an entry to the Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission’s 2016 video contest is fast approaching! Videos and application materials must be turned in by February 15th, 2016. All Texas students who are enrolled in grades 6-12 are eligible to enter. Submissions may be created individually or in groups, and winners will be awarded scholarship funds.
The theme for the 2016 contest is “Genocide Report.” Students must choose a genocide that took place in either the 20th or 21st century, report on what happened, and explain the current situation in the location where the genocide occurred.
If you haven’t yet entered the contest, and are interested in getting involved, please take a look at our THGC Video Contest page. This is where you will find the guidelines, application form, and permission form. You may also take a look at selected entries from previous years.
The Texas Holocaust and Genocide Commission is always excited to see firsthand the creativity of Texas students. If you have any questions about the video contest, please contact Cheyanne Perkins, Program Specialist, at (512) 463-5674 or firstname.lastname@example.org.
